Plot Summary: Tiger Muthuvel Pandian, portrayed by the legendary Rajinikanth, is an ex-jailer living in Kodambakkam with his family. Fueled by a deep sense of vengeance, Tiger embarks on a mission to seek retribution for the brutal killing of his son, ACP Arjun. Arjun was investigating Varman, an eccentric gangster operating from his base in Arakkonam. Varman smuggles ancient temple idols and sells them to buyers overseas.
When Arjun suddenly goes missing during his investigation, the police department covers it up, suggesting he may have committed suicide due to job stress. Grieving the loss of his son and partly blaming himself for raising him to be honest and fearless, Muthuvel takes matters into his own hands. He confronts Varman’s henchman, Seenu, and when things escalate, Muthuvel resorts to drastic measures.
Muthuvel blackmails a psychiatrist into providing asylum for his family and seeks help from Narasimha, a reformed criminal. With Narasimha’s assistance, Muthuvel steals Varman’s smuggled idols and uses them to blackmail and humiliate the gangster. But Varman retaliates by hiring a Bihari gangster named Kamdev to eliminate Muthuvel and his family.
